I agreed to magazine subscription, but due to finance problems could not afford it. I havn't received anything from them yet, so I tried to cancel. They refused to cancel. I have never in my life dealt with a business who has a "customer service manager" speak to the customers in the manner that I was spoken to. I was even yelled at and was refused to use my proper name. The customer service Rep. Brian Thomas said that he was amicable to me therefore he would use my first name if he wanted and then hung up on me. I cannot afford this subscription and told them this. He basically stated that if I didn't pay it would be forwarded to a collection agency. There's customer service for you! I also requested the policy for cancellation in writing and agin was refused. I asked to speak to a general manager and again was refused. At one point I was offered a shorter term subscription, but only if I didn't insist on hearing my oral contract played back to me. Sounds kind of like a threat to me.
