Between September 2012 and November 2015, I have served 1056 summon's for USA Serve.  At no point during these 3 years, has Michael Cannon ever kept to his own policy of paying every 2 weeks as is stated in his own policy, but hes has always eventually paid, until now.

As per his website, USA Serve isuued me a check for $1400.00 on December 3, 2014, but I never received this check.  After numerous emails back and forth with Maryann, I finally got a replacement check in March, 2015....For $630.00.  After numerous emails, once again, I am still waiting for the remainder of the "original" check.  Although I have asked numerous times how the amount of a "repalcement" check could possibly differ from the original amount, I was only ever told that "we are looking into it.  Mysteriously though, USA-Serve managed to 1099 me for the missing amaount.

As of this date, I am still waiting for a response to my last 5 emails to Maryann.  You can only email Maryann at this point, as Michael Cannons email has been shut down.  Never an answer at the business line, a return call or text from anyone.

At this point, I am still owed over $3000.00 from jobs as far back as June 8, 2014: Almost a year. 

I am now preparing to take legal action against this company.  If anyone finds themselves in the same situation, please contact me.

Retraction To My Previous Complaint

Unfortunately, Ripoff Report does not allow a complaint to be removed from its website, so I can only post this update instead of a retraction.

 While my initial complaint is factually correct, on August 3, 2015 I received an email and phone call from Michael Cannon, of USA Serve.   Michael was very apologetic for letting so much time pass before getting back to me.  During our conversation, Michael Cannon explained his reasons for the delay in both getting back to me and sending out any payments.  Michael Cannon’s reasons were reasonable and personal, so I will not disclose them, however he was very sincere during our conversation.  While blame for some of the issues are shared, Michael did no finger pointing and accepted responsibility. 

Michael Cannon assured me that I would be paid in full within a month and even had the figures of what he owed, which were accurate to mine.  Within a week, I received a check from USA Serve for the full amount of what was owed.

Prior to receiving the call from Michael Cannon, I had taken no action other than placing this complaint on Ripoff Report; I had not attempted to call or email him or the company.  Michael Cannon showed an incredible amount of integrity and character by calling me and “making things right” between the two of us.   

Michael paid me in full, with no prompts or threats of legal action, he did not try to settle with me or force litigation; Michael knew what his obligations were and he lived up to them.  This shows a level of honesty and reliability that is hard to come by.

As I said earlier in this update, if I could take this post down, I would, because Michael Cannon did live up to his word.
