I received a letter from USA Survey Network Cash Prize draw, stating their review showed that allocated ticket number 4337898 with serial number AL-99876 had a prize allocated to my number of $ 580,000.00 and a check was sent with a expiration date of February 20, 2006 that I received on February 17, 2006 and I must called one of the customer service representatives back to confirm I had received the letter and I would be able to initiate transfer of funds to the bank of my choice. The letter also stated it is understood that by accepting the enclosed payment, you have effectively agreed that we will deduct it from your award. Your final payment will therefore be the above amount minus the insurance cost. Please call your agent for exact amount of the insurance cost and payment instructions. After depositing the check made out to me for $7400.00, I got a call from my bank stating the check wasn't real. ON February 23, I received a call from Mr. Richard Baker saying there must be some mistake when I told him my bank said the check was counterfeit. He told me to go to my bank on February 24, and he would be making a call prior to my going there. IN the mean time I went on line and saw a report stating the name of the company, the address I was given were con artists. Before I checked on line I also sent letters to the company that the check came from and to the company itself, asking them if this was a sham or not. Mr. Baker ask me if I could afford to pay for the insurance myself, but I told him I wasn't spending any of my money, not knowing if his company was real or not. I told him if it's true I had won as he said to deduct anything I owed from the prize I had won. Mr. Baker is suppose to call me this evening to find out what happen at the bank, but after finding out about his company on line I don't think he will, at least I will be able to share the information I found about his company being con artists.
