USA Wallpaper - Decorate With Style Refuses to issue credit Sandusky Ohio
On July 6, 2007, I placed an order online with Decorate With Style-USA Wallpaper. Payment of $34.17 was taken immediately from my PayPal account.
I received an e-mail July 10 confirming my order, but without any information on when I would receive the item. I called and was told the item was back-ordered (not stated on the Web site) and might not be shipped for months. This was unacceptable.
I canceled the order immediately, and have been waiting for a refund since, despite several requests to customer service and accounting.
I ordered from this company because it was a Yahoo Merchant. Now it appears it is not anymore. I researched the company further, and found out this is its standard practice - refusing to issue credits or refunds for months and sometimes never.
A reputable company only charges a customer's account when the item is shipped, not before. What this company has done to me and others is a ripoff.
To date, nearly two months later, the actions I have taken include a dispute pending through my bank, and complaints filed with the Federal Trade Commission, the Toledo Better Business Bureau, and PayPal.

I am pleased to report that I received my credit this morning. I suspect the dispute I filed with my bank was the catalyst, but I am sure I will never know.
I would still encourage shoppers to stay away from this company. No one should have to work this hard to get their own money returned to them.
And I would encourage the company to change its credit/refund/reversal procedures, and process these right away.
And also not to process a customer's payment until the order is shipped. Amazon and countless others operate this way, with tremendous financial success. Holding on to a customer's money is a very bad business practice.
