For three months, USABD has been billing me via AT&T for services I never ordered or authorized. They insist that they have a recorded telephone conversation of me authorizing but wouldn't play it back for me over the phone. I spoke with a testy little woman named Christine Tran who agreed to cancel my account but refused to refund the money they owed me.
Here is what I learned: Parent Company is called ZipWideWeb.
Her supervisor is Richard Stewart. Company owner is Mark Cave.
Physical address is 16133 Ventura Blvd., Encino, CA 91436

Fax# s (323) 525-3939

Other company aliases: eBridge Technologies, ZipWeb, eVisibility, USABA, The Billing Resource.
They have offices in Manilla (The Phillipines), Bangalore (India), Los Angeles and San Diego, CA.

Cancelled with no problems

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

I was contacted by phone to receive a one-month free trial of ZipWeb. After two weeks, my website statistics remained completely unchanged. On Google, my website did not appear as a featured ad when I searched on my business category and even on Zipweb.com, typing in my business category and zip code, my business was not listed. For these reasons, I decided to end my trial early. I called the phone number I had been given and was treated with absolutely no hostility. I received a confirmation FAX while the person at the company waited for the confirmation to come in.

I will check my phone bill and make sure I get no strange charges from ZipWeb, but so far, other than the fact that the company promised something they didn't deliver, I paid nothing, so I am not terribly upset.

I got all contact information and names of the people I spoke with on the phone. I was afraid the phone number wouldn't work that I was given, but all appeared to run smoothly with the cancellation. I will file a report if the company charges my phone bill.
