Received billing for Internet Services through SBC which were NOT requested. $49.95/mo, (double for first month), total $99.90 + Tax.

I had the same problem with SBC one year ago, a company called ESBI was billing me $49.95 for Internet Services. It took almost 6 months to clear it up. I paid my regular monthly bill but not the internet charges. Got a notice from SBC that they were going to disconnect my service due to unpaid invoices. It is amazaing how a few days after I wrote to the FCC that I got my account cleared up.

Bypass Customer Service, Go Straight To Corporate!

Call your SBC Customer Service number and tell them you want the number to Corporate. If they ask you why, you can tell them it is because your billing is NOT correct and has not been corrected after numerous attempts to do so. Then contact Corporate (I've had to contact twice on different billing issues...they got the matter resolved without a big hassle). Good luck.

Collections List Now

I have a cancellation # issued 1/26/06. The new bill from SBC still shows a balance due of $110.60 plus $1.64 late charges, and NOW, my account is in the collections department for non payment. Re-contacted USABD, they tell me that they issued a credit on 1/26/06 and it will 60 - 90 days before it will be cleared on my bill.
