I need quarters for the laundromat.  After taking $100 out of a USBank cash machine ($3 fee)  I went into the bank and asked to change the $100 into quarters.  They wanted a 1.5% fee to do it, ie, just to give me quarters for my bills.  I walked out.  What a ripoff.

You're not a USB customer, right?

If you're being charged for using a US Bank ATM, that pretty much tells me that you're not one of their account holders. So, not being a customer of theirs, you expect for them to provide a service to you free of charge?
Typical.

That's a lot of laundry

Since you were charged for the ATM Transaction, one could figure that you are not a customer.   Since you are not a customer they are going to charge you what is basically a convenience fee because they are providing you a service.

Perhaps if you just asked for a roll of quarters instead of 10 rolls they may have just done it for you, but even if they would have still charged you have the choice to accept this fee or walk out.

Of course if you wanted to avoid this fee altogether you should have just gone to you own bank.  Or let me take a guess that it wouldn't have been as "convenient".
