A little surfing would have led you to the following info:

USBI is under the umbrella of Billing Concepts, Inc. They are located at 7411 John Smith Dr., Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78229. The Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President is Jacqueline Mitchell 210 949 2501. If you want to surf the net a little, just type "billing concepts inc." in your browser/address window and you will get the company info page. Good luck with this one; happy to help

Sounds suspiciously like a certain Alyon Technology claim.

#3Consumer Suggestion

Mon, June 30, 2003

This is copied and pasted right from the USBI FAQ page:

What is USBI?

USBI is a billing clearinghouse that processes information on behalf of various long distance service providers. We are not a long distance or common carrier.

(uh-oh; sound familiar?)

There are no phone numbers or even a state mentioned on the USBI site that I could find. In fact, the only way to contact them is by email and I am not too sure that I would suggest that at this time. This seems really strange that this company does not want to let us know where they are located....

Sounds a whole lot like Alyon Technologies' silly propaganda. I would suggest you check your dial-up settings on your computer and make sure that they are as they should be. Have you had any new icons appear on your desktop lately? Have you had a maddening series of pop-ups that you could not seem to get out of?

Get Spybot S&D (free download) and run a check on your system. It will generally show up any rogue diallers. Let us know if anything is found, please. This may (or may not) be the start of yet another crummy attack on users of the Internet!
