On April 13th I received a call, at the non-profit I work for, from USBI/Multiline Long Distance representing that the were affiliated with Verizon (with whom we currently had local/long distance). They informed me that Verizon could no longer bill us for our long distance service and that it had to be done through Multiline.

They stated that there would not be any additional charges it was only a difference in who was billing us.

I received last months bill with an additional $40.31 in charges.  I called Verizon and they stated that they had no affiliation with USBI/Multiline and that they could certainly continue to bill us for our long distance service.

Basically, USBI/Multiline is taking advantage of consumers by giving them completely false information.  I called and confronted the representative who answered the phone and when I asked to speak with someone higher up, she said their was no one I could speak to.

They did provide us with our long distance service but blatantly lied in order to get us to switch.
