I too was the victim of the USBI/One Call Communications billing scam. Tip off that my computer had been infected with Malware and was being harnessed to illegally dialin to website without my consent or knowledge: the modem conection suddenly went silent one day and the machine was running much slower. A Ctrl-alt-del would show programs such as PIB, TBSP, WSUP were running and Ad-Aware picked up many critical objects that I have since cleaned up. Be sure if this happens to you NOT to pay for charges you know are inaccurate (in my case they were to a number in the UK). and to make sure you request that the companies all BLOCK your line from making such calls in the future.

They should not only agree to do this but give you a confirmation number that they did it (and it doesn't hurt to call them again and make sure the block was put on). Also, notify your local FBI office and file a complaint with the FBI Internet Fraud division at https://www.ifccfbi.gov/complaint/cf2.asp
