Complaint Review: USBI Opticom

Received bills from SBC for Sep & Oct, both had charges on for USBI. Called SBC, they referred me to USBI, called them. They are only a clearing house for Opticom. No phone number for them but gave me the PO Box address. USBI advised they will put a block on my number for the calls and reversed the charges on my SBC bill. SBC transferred me to their SLAM department to try & get this stopped for future.

Opticom operates under a number of different names. Sep, 2002 the FCC levied fines of $5.1 million against One Call Communications, Inc. d/b/a Opticom for violations.

If you have complaints write the FCC and your congress mem and senators. If enough do maybe it will change.
