This company called saying they were the long distance provider of ATT and that I was paying too much for my long distance service. They said they could lower it down to $25 a month flat fee for unlimited long distance. They said in order to make the switch in service I had to go through a third party verification service (which is normal protocol i thougt) Once they switched me over they stated billing me per minute in additon to Peak Communications hit me with duplicate federal service fees and bogus charges every month.

I immedately called ATT to get switched back over...it took 4 times to finally get away from this company...(which still hasn't completely happened yet as they continue to bill my credit card each month.) I have opened a case with the BBB which is still pending. If you have this problem don't call USBI because the number will not do anything...call the number for Peak Communications and cancel with them immediately (this time I did it with ATT on the line so that there was a witness).

Then have your service switched over. Even though I've done this a few times with ATT at least they will adjust your bill why you are trying to get away from these bloodsuckers. Beware...after the fact I learned that your phone company will never call you to switch services...so watch out. There are thousands of complaints from the company and yet they still fool people everyday.
