Beware USBI is getting away with charging people long distance calls that were never made. Some people may never question it or check their bill close enough and end up paying for a call they never made. I recently fell victim to their scam, but fortunately I caught it because I have basic phone service and my bill is always the same.

Not only that I have no long distance available to make a long distance call so as you can see I was very shocked to receive a bill of $74.48 when it is always $25 something. I right away wonder what was going on. Then I see this USBI company saying that I made a call to DIEGO GARCXX. I had no clue what that was.

They charged me twice for this call once for $37.54 and the other for $7.74. I Immediately called this USBI Company at 1-888-479-8724. I asked for the name of the person I was speaking with and ironically she told me she was not alllowed to give her name out and gave me a number code of 8101. I asked again for her name, but no such luck.

I started off right away telling her I do not have long distance and there is no way this charge should be on here. She tries to tell me that it could have happened through the internet and says to me or someone else from your home. I told her that could not happen seeing I am the only one on it because I still live with my parents and they know nothing about the computer or internet.

She then says will this was done through your line some how. I started to raise my voice and said, "did you hear me I do not have long distance and I will not pay for this". She finally says she will credit my account that I should keep my voice down, but it will take a couple months. She also did not answer me where the call came from. Also, they made sure they charged me for a Saturday and a Sunday, days when most people do not work.

Then I decide to go online and look the number up, no such luck. Then I do a search for the DIEGO GARCXX and found all this fraud about the same thing and situations that were the same. So, I wasn't crazy.

I called my local phone company and told them what has happened and that I am not paying for it and he knew about the situation. He put a third party block on my phone line also, so this can't happen again because then know one can come up with a bogus charge.
