USBI ripoff of elderly Las Vegas Nevada

My 80 year-old mother, who has alzheimers, answered a telemarketers call and added USBI as her long disatnce carrier. My dad normally pays the bills and he did not notice the additional $6.00 charge each month.

I found out I called to question the charges and they played the tape to me that gave her approval. It was heartbreaking to hear how confused she was yet they continued to ask her questions that would authorize her consent.

They had been billed for 2 years for a service they never used. This is a great deal of money to a couple that gets by on social security. It is unfortunate that this company also preys on the elderly. USBI refuses to reimburse them any money yet it is clear that they had no authorization. What can we do?
