USBI ripoff scammers Internet
My verizon bill of August 2004 included several charges for international calls to Tuvalu, the United Kingdom and Guyana, all occurred in a period of one week. I was charged a total of $643.85 for these international calls. Needless to say, Verizon was not much help in resolving this issue only providing that the calls are computer dialed calls. I have made numerous attempts to contact USBI via their website, "billview.com." It is now November, and I have not received one response to my numerous inquiries. Verizon has sent my bill including these charges into collections.
I have no problem paying for a service if in fact I have used the particular service!!! However, all of the calls that I mentioned, occurred when I was not at home and at outrageous times, such as 2:41am. Ive been scammed and I'll be damned if Im going to pay for it.
Sincerely
Theresa

You've been "crammed" illegally

Theresa,
Unfortunately, you've been "crammed"--legal jargon for illegal cramming of charges on your phone bill.
Please contact your state Attorney General's office AND the FCC. I had the same thing happen to me, and once I filed my formal complaints to the AG and the FCC, suddenly the charges dropped from my bill (I had BellSouth).
I'm sure the FCC is aware of this ripoff company. File those complaints!
Good Luck!
