USBI ripoff We just realized that USBI has been scamming us for TWO years! Carmel Indiana
I looked at our phone bill for this month, and noticed that some company called USBI was charging us about $8/mo. My husband takes care of the bills and I'd never had a reason to peruse our SBC bill.
I brought this charge to my husband's attention, and he called SBC. The CSR said she had no idea who USBI was or what they did (good grief - the phone company doesn't know why they are billing us for this?). They advised him to call USBI, which he did. The CSR at USBI was so aggressive and argumentative that my husband got more angry than I'd seen him in a long time. We demanded cancellation of their "service," and a refund of all previous payments. They cancelled the "service" but are refusing to refund anything to us.
This sure looks like a scam to me. I'm embarassed to admit that this has been going on for TWO YEARS, but as I said, I wasn't involved with the bill paying. Boy, am I glad I found this website! We need a class action lawsuit against this "pseudo-company" ASAP!
