My son received a postcard in the mail several weeks ago, thanking him for signing up with VoicenetPlus.

I spoke with him about it and he had no idea what I was talking about.

I thought it might be a piece of junk mail, but, just in case, I fired off an e-mail to VoicenetPlus, telling them that if somehow my son had signed up for their service please cancel it immediately because he is a minor and has a learning disability, he cannot make such decisions.

I did not receive a reply and just wrote it off as junk, until I opened up my most recent phone bill and saw a charge from USBI Voicenet.

I called them immediately and explained the situation. The customer service rep told me that my son HAD signed up for their service providing a fraudulent birth year. She reiterated that he had signed up fraudulently and then said she would cancel our account.

I love my son but I am aware of his limitations and I do not believe he is intellectually capable of signing up for an account and providing fraudulent birth info.

Anyway, I then called AT&T and informed them of the situation. As soon as I said USBI, she knew what I was talking about. She was quite helpful and hopefully this situation is resolved and over and done with.
