Usenet.nl was a service I signed up for, to help a friend increase his referral count, when I signed up a paid a short amount for a trial, not realizing that it actually subscribed me to a 99 Euro system that would soon come to haunt me a few weeks later.
I assumed that since it was accidental, I would get a refund from the company and they would be courteous to work things out. Unfortunately when I called they actually hung up on me and ignored anything that I said. I was very upset.
I then filed a dispute using paypal, and they gave me responses like the one shown below: "
You have signed up for our Usenet.nl free trial package on 8.5.2010 and you have neither chosen any other package nor cancelled your contract. According to the information concerning your right of revocation, which you accepted upon registration, the renewal of your contract was on 23.5.2010.You have entered a valid and legal contract. By signing up for our service you agreed to our terms & conditions and you have been informed about your right of cancellation. There will be no refund."
However I was never informed of a right of cancellation, and there was no prior warning to the invoicing of my paypal account, they just did it. They are lying to me whenever I ask, and clearly thats not true if I never was given that.
Also, it nowhere (other then in some fine print not on the same page) did it say I would be charged 99 Euros. I just question the ethics of this company. - Warning, don't use them.
