I've been in the real estate business for over a decade . Against my better judgement when contacted by USHUD.COM I decided to give it a try . Only 1 agent per city , unlimited leads for a month for a $195 fee/ month , you could cancel the following month if you decided to.  Sounded alright , even if 1 legitimate lead had been generated it would have paid for iteself... right ?  Well, let me tell you not only did I not receive a single response to my emails or phone calls to these so called leads I even received one with the name Candy Von Peppermint ..I mean that pretty much sums it up.

When I did give notice (by email & phone call) before my first month was up that I wanted to cancel I was again billed $195. When I called in to speak with customer service about the unauthorized charge I spoke with a rude individual who told me that the reason I didn't receive a response from any of the so called "leads" they sent me was because a phone call and email isn't enough contact to get someone to respond if they are an interested buyer WOW . Please do not fall for this scam of a company like I did .

I am Michael Urbanski, CEO of UsHud.com.

We have been in business since 1999 and have had millions of satified clients in that time. Unfortunatley we are a company made up of about 75 people and mistakes can happen. This is an example of a mistake on our part.

There is no doubt that this particular real estate professional had asked to be canceled and the representative here failed to forward her request to customer service in a timely manner. The representative has been counseled and he feels terrible for not acting more quickly.

Once the mistake was brought to the attention of client services the client was refunded immediately and before posting her complaint here. I wish she had included that information, however that does not release us from the responisbility that comes with our jobs. 

Regarding the fake name. We are constantly working on filters to reduce the possiblity of this occuring, however "Candy Von Peppermint" was a very clever fake name which made its way past our filters. 

The reason I am writing here is because I think it is important to speak to these matters personally and take ownership of mistakes when they are made. This was a mistake and we take full responsibility. As I have already indicated, the employee has been counseled by both Human Resources and his manager. I don't believe he will ever make this mistake again. He has been put on a 90 day probationary period and if this or any similar oversight occurs he will be released immediately.
