USPS United States Postal Service NO MAIL RECEIVED as USPS database not updated Sherman Texas
For the past four months our mail has NOT been delivered by the USPS Sherman, Texas. The local carrier, as well as the postmaster, had approved our mailbox and location – yet, to date our clients have been calling complaining our address is invalid, and therefore our mail undeliverable. We researched USPS.com, “Look up a zip code” – USPS consistently shows
“address not found”.
We were told by David at the Sherman post office nothing can be done and could be 5 to 6 months, maybe 8, until my address is in the system. Numerous conversations with Steve Fuhr, the postmaster at Sherman, have been absolutely useless. Steve stated he has entered the address into the database. Steve stated every week my address should be updated by Monday. EVERY WEEK the same lie, for months.
We have called USPS customer service, all they have done is transfer us back to the postmaster.
It appears everyone involved is passing the buck – and the result:
FOUR MONTHS NO MAIL received!!
UNACCEPTABLE!
INEXCUSABLE
Words can not encompass my anger:
the futility of dealing with incompetent USPS employees
stall tactics, and ensuing lies, by said employees of the USPS
the unrecovercable harm to my business
financial distress created by USPS refusing to deliver my clients payments
undue stress to my personal life created by USPS holding me hostage
The address in question was requested 5 years ago, at which time we received a 911 address. The postal service was notified at that time plans to develop the property. For the past four months we have been attempting to get mail delivered to said address. We have been through every avenue to get this problem with the mailing address resolved.
Due to the incompetentcy of the USPS person who handles the data entry and inability to log my address into your computer system for the past four months, contractors and building materials have been stopped at this address, as we have no confidence that the system will be corrected. We have temporarily operated our business out of state due to this problem, and unless this is resolved we will move out of state permanently.
In short, if we can’t operate with USPS in this state, we will operate in another state.
Additionally, others on the same street have the same problem - address is invalid for delivery
I also tried to email USPS Customer Service via their webpage and after filling out numerous prompts and pages, when I click on submit, the whole thing is rejected stating "not valid address". HELLO? That is why I am complaining
