My husband and I recieved a document from LVAAP on the fifth of October stating that I had won $3,341,006 and it stated that I needed to send in $20 for confirmation. There was a list of the four names that had been drawn for the sweepstakes and they all were checked twice, once for confirmed prize and another for collected or uncollected. My name was the only name that said uncollected. I was the first name drawn and they referred to me as Name No. 1 but oddly enough i had won the least ammount of money. Two days later, on the seventh of October, I recieved another document but from another company called USSA. This document came in a First class envelope and said nomination approved all over it and was called a "form W-915". It denifinitely looked a lot more legit to us but still i had to check it out. It was obviously another scam. The first document from LVAAP stated that I was sworn to secrecy and to tell nobody and the second document from USSA looked really convincing with the little box in the top right hand corner with numbers and little boxes in it stating not to right in this area and a seal and even signatures. But they both said that they had no affiliation with any sweepstakes and they both had terrible english throughout the entire document as well. I was bummed out but people need to know that other people will do anything for your money and if one thousand people fall for the twenty dollar confirmation in one month than that company just made $20,000 dollars just like that. Something needs to be done about con artists such as this one!!!
So in conclusion, my husband embarrasingly suggested that I send the twenty dollars in and so I did. If I fell for it than I am positive that many others have and will. Needless to say, as soon as I sent it out I decided to do some investigating and found this wonderful site. Although I am ebarrased to say that I had fallen for it, people need to know about this company and stop this kind of thing from happening.
