I have used this bank for several years and suddenly on Friday June 1st, 2005 they decided to freeze my account leaving me pennyless and no one at UCCU could tell me anything. No one tried to contact me by mail, phone, or even talk to my wife when she was there the day before.

Friday night we tried to use our cards and they came up Lost/Stolen. Then I went to the bank to withdraw money and all they could say is sorry it's frozen, come in Tuesday, no one knows what is going on untill then.

What am I supposed to do? I have bills to pay my cars need gas, could they not have at least called and let me know instead of making me wait 5 days to even find out what is going on. What kind of customer service is this? How is it even legal to do this?

I might understand if I had tons of debt with them that I would not pay and they have tried to work it out with us, but they have NEVER tried to contact us, and I dont have much debt with them anyways. I always pay it every month, in fact it is an auto withdraw from my account to them for payment. Is there any advice out there or anything I can do?

On Tuesday July 5th I was finally able to talk to someone and they fixed the problem, This was a huge inconvienence for us and very annoying. I must say though that UCCU has been a great bank to bank with and, we have never had any other problems with them.

The date I posted above is wrong. It was July 1st not June. That's right they froze my account w/out telling me on the weekend of July 4th making us cancel our plans for the 4th. What a ripoff!
