Complaint Review: Utalk Unlimited

On Sunday, 7:34 AM, May 23, 2004 I received a call, which should've set off alarms in my psyche, but being half-asleep, didn't. An East Indian "gentleman" informed me that his name was Ullod Adams, (another red light). He said that he was a representative of Utalk Unlimited and CPI, and that I had been awarded FREE $200 in gasoline vouchers. Plus I would received a calling card and my cable or satellite bill would be paid (another red light).

My one-time fee would be $3.99, (red lights all over the place) and I could call anytime to cancel, but keep the complementary gas vouchers and calling card for my trouble. The trick is, the number they give you only informs you that they're closed and the number offered to open new accounts has been disconnect or is out of service. I had to call my bank and put a hold on the account and will have to change accounts.
