This company shipped my computer with a packing list of items included. I then had 30 days to report anything missing or damaged. I checked off everything on the packing list and I had everything listed so I thought I had no problems.

After my waranty had expired I needed to take it to a repair shop because my windows would not work at all. They said they needed to re-install windows xp. I had no such cd, and there was no windows restore cd included with my software. It was not listed on the packing list so I had no way of knowing I was missing it until I needed it.

They refused to do anything about it and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was informed that the supervisor would side with the technictian, "I had no warranty and the time had expired to report anything missing". I never got to speak to the supervisor, instead I was accidently disconnected. I have had my computer less than 9 months, and now my monitor is going bad, same story, warranty has expired. This company is a rip-off and I will never do business with them again.

Toni, I read you thread and I feel your pain. I posted on here on 3/28/03 about my V2Premier Junk also. If you will read my post you will see how much trouble I had with mine also. I have since settled with my extended warranty people. They deemed my computer was irrepairible and offered me a refurbished HP computer of equivalant value or 582 bucks toward the purchase of a new computer of my choice.

I took the latter and now am the proud owner of a new HP custom built to my specs. I had to put about a 100 bucks with the money to get it but now I have a computer that works right and no more dealing with V2 premier. I had to send them back their tower and mouse and keyboard but that all came with my new system. They did pay for the return. Thank Goodness for that. I hope you get rid of your problem also.

Just remember to tell everyone you know that is in the market for a new computer, never by one from Shop NBC or any other TV program. Always buy a name brand from a reputable dealer.. Good Luck !! oh, by the way, always get an extended warranty, you won't be sorry....

The problem is that when i called them about the missing restore cd, the technician admitted that it should have been included but refused to send it since it was past the 30 days. Any more questions?

Well Rick
If you knew anything about computers you would realize that when you do a system restore to the factory settings( as per the tech) you must reinstall windows. They purposely don't send the windows cd because it might cost them a few extra pennies. Never mind that we all paid over 2500 for this piece of junk. (any reputable dealer would include it. )They are a horrible company and don't care about the customers..Shop Nbc and v2 have over 300 complaints between the 2 names So I guess all of these people can't be wrong.

you aren't missing anything. there was no mention of a windows cd because you're not supposed to get one. you got everything you were told you would get, so whats the problem?
