V20 Live Jeffrey Vaughn V20 live rips off musicians by charging for likes for your facebook page which are not real likes and cause your like count to decrease continually & refuse to email you back or refund your money.. Internet, Internet

I was contacted by someone who was working with V20 Live who tried to sell me services. This person knew I was launching a new Facebook music page and said I should use V20 to generate 1000's of likes off the bat making my page look more attractive to potential fans. V20 has various packages starting at $75 that promises anywhere from 500 likes to 20, 000 likes on your band page on Facebook. They don't tell you that they aren't using real people to like your page and that Facebook will take those likes right off your page. When I purchased the likes, they came very fast.

Then I noticed the like count would start declining. I contacted v20 and they replaced the likes but it just continued to happen no matter what they did. Not only would those likes start to disappear, when a new 'real' fan would like the page, instead of the like count increasing, it would decrease anywhere from 1-5 likes & later 100's at a time. Whatever software they are using is not permitted by Facebook and Facebook deletes the likes. Vaughn called it 'Facebook sweeps'. The page is completely useless b/c new fan likes don't show up and the number of likes continues to drop daily.

After contacting V20 multiple times with no response, I am left with a Facebook page that I cannot promote on and they won't email me back or refund my money. They also promise youtube comments, views etc. I would never take the chance on youtube putting my video views at a stand still because of V20. Their services destroy the foundation a musician initially builds, making it impossible to see fan growth. Do not use their services.  Do not let them rip you off. The music business is difficult enough. You don't want to throw your money away, put it towards recording, instruments, your website and not into the pocket of Jeffrey Vaughn.

TO:V20/Jeff Vaughn: in reply to your weak rebuttal

Thanks for FINALLY getting back to me. The emails you posted are older emails and not the 3 emails you DID NOT respond to. I know how to take a screen shot too & if this allows me to, I will post all of those emails as well as copy and paste them to this reply.

Typical that Vaughn would ignore three emails from me but have the time to post a long rebuttal the same exact day I go public with my complaint. So, let's be clear. The problem still is and always was that since I used V20's services, I am unable to see growth in my like count. For anyone who has a music page, you know it tells you every time someone new likes your page, it's shows their name and picture under "new likes". New fans and friends were liking my page everyday as we had just released a new album and instead of my like number increasing when someone new would like the page, it decreased due to whatever method or software V20 uses. I have another facebook page in which the like count never ever did that. If your like count was at 647 and a new like came in, it rose to 648. The first time they fixed the issue, Vaughn said they found out from facebook that what they were using were "bots" and that is why facebook was sweeping them. I don't even know what a bot is but obviously it's not good. I believe that whatever method V20 uses is not legit, that is why facebook intervenes and that is why my page got destroyed.

I would have rather they just took their likes back and gave me a refund so that whatever bug was happening due to their services would stop and we could finally see the likes grow as they should have been when new likes were coming in which was happening consistently. I can't use the page, what would be the point? Mr. Vaughn's last words to me after they supposedly fixed the problem were "If you start seeing a problem again & any decrease in your like count, just let us know and we'll replace them". He said that to me over the phone. When I saw it happening, I emailed him right away. No reply. I emailed him two more times after that, no reply. I have taken screenshots of those emails. Just in case posting a picture is not an option in this rebuttal, here are those emails:
(Notice in the screenshot Jeff posted of our page with our like # at 2299, proof from my 10-07-12 email how the likes were dropping off as new people would like the page even though their were no real 'unlikes').

EMAIL 1 Sent on 10-07-2012 through comcast email
Hi Jeff,

I got your voicemail about the page likes being
replaced. The last time you guys replaced the likes, the end digit was near
2700. The number was somewhere around 2342 or something like that on Friday I
think, I noticed yesterday it was at 2317, we got a new like and it went up to
2318 and today it's down to 2316. I'm not as concerned with the actual number of
likes as I am with the unlikes and fluctuation. I never had this problem with my
old page. Just wanted to touch base about this.

Email #2 Sent 11-07-2012 through comcast email

Jeff,

My like's continue to decline. Whenever I get a new like, the number sometimes increases but eventually decreases and even lower each time. I cannot keep track of new fans ever since I used v20 services & I'm very disappointed that this issue has gone on for months and months. I never got a response to the email below from October 7. It is now a full month later. What is the point of promoting a fanpage where the likes will never increase?

Email #3 Sent on 11-08-2012 through comcast email

Likes now under 2300. At this point, I want to delete the page and get our money refunded.
Your services have been nothing but a headache. I can't move forward with promoting on a page that doesn't count new likes. I'd rather use my old page where at least all the people who liked my page were real and the like count didn't shift everyday. We want this issue resolved ASAP.

End of emails.

Obviously, comcast has record of these emails and can back me. I was talked into using v20's services against my better judgement. It was a poor business decision and the first time we ever tried any online promotion tool like this. We've certainly learned our lesson. Promoting the old fashion way is the right way to go. I rest my case.

V20Live Response

#5REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, November 16, 2012

V20Live would like to take this time to present our side of the story.

On June 16, 2012 a Starter Kit Program was sold to Krista Paris from Eye To Eye Music. This program included the following below:

Get over 800 Retweets total reach over 170,000 unique followers   ??  1 single added to V20Radio.com & our mobile app??  1000 new twitter followers (3-5 days) or 1000 Facebook Likes??  Video added to our YouTube Channel

At the time Krista did not have a Twitter account and she over paid because their was a bug in the system which was charging her shipping. Instead of a refund she opted for and additional 1000 likes which broke down to 500 in lieu of Twitter and 500 for overpayment for a total delivery of 2000 Likes.

Once we processed the order we issued 2700 Facebook likes to https://www.facebook.com/EyetoEyesmusik
after sometime we got an email informing us the likes declined. Normally we advise our clients that if you don't engage or have an interesting topic people will un follow. For whatever reason her likes declined initially and we replaced them.

A month or so passed and we get another email from Krista Parris informing us her likes had declined. I myself personally to the time to contact her by phone and email to discuss the matter. In addition I informed my IT team and we investigated the issue internally and with Facebook to see what the problem may have been keeping Krista in the loop.

Once we reached an a resolution we replaced the likes on https://www.facebook.com/EyetoEyesmusik taking them back up to a little over 2300.  Currently the Fan Page is at 2299.

As a company we have done our part and gone above what most Social Media sites would do. We pride ourselves in trying to put the customer first. Purchasing Facebook Likes is always a gamble because these are not true fans dedicated to your music. In fact they are just normal people who are just getting to know your music and it is up to you to hold their attention.

We have attached screen shots to show we kept communication with the artist please take sometime and look for yourself.

V20live prides itself in being the Heart Beat of Indie Music and we do our best to make every customer happy. At times we are not going to succeed in everyone's eyes. However, before you publicize an assumption about the integrity of our company come to the table with facts not personal allegations.

If you have any further questions contact us at 424.209.2948 we are happy to address any issue.
