v2premier Computer, Shop NBC RIPOFF! unable to correct program problems Microsoft wants me to pay for help I won't pay for it

I have had problems with this computer since the day it arrived.Programs were not installed properly/therefore did not work. I received this machine via Shop NBC in January.

Since that time, I have (under technical support from the company) been FORCED to wipe out the computer FOUR TIMES, and re-enter each program my self. This still did not correct the problems!A repairman was sent to my home-HE F***ED UP THE MACHINE EVEN MORE!!!!!!!

Now the latest- the power button is next to impossible to push on. I have also been receiving several error messages. I contacted the company, or which they suggest that I restore the computer to an earlier date, which I have done. More error reports appear.

I called the company back-they can't help me and suggested that I call Microsoft directly for assistance, which I did. In order for Microsoft to help, THEY DEMAND THAT I PAY THEM $35.00 BEFORE THEY WILL HELP!!! I refused to pay the amount, and I was rudely disconnected!

I am pissed off to say the least. Tell me how I can sue the companies. The latest error (which I don't understand) is:BC code:d1 BCP1: F96F2F59 BCP 2: 00000002 BCP 3: 00000000 BCP 4: F96F2F59 OS ver: 5_1_2600 SP: 0.0 Product 768_1 C\\minidump\mini 080902-01dmp C\docime~1\DOROTH~1/locals~1\ temp\WER1.tmp.dir oo\ sysdake.xml.

Do you know what this means? According to v2premier, I need to download a new driver via microtec. I paid over two thousand dollars for this piece of s--- and I will not pay microtec to repair a problem they knew already existed when loaded into this ................machine.

I apologize for not remembering that Dorothy had problems from day one upon receiving her computer from ShopNBC. I was thinking about about computer users in general who corrupt their software or hardware and then blame the vendors.

Yes, I do agree that Dorothy was screwed over by ShopNBC and V2Premier. They should stand behind their sold products. Unfortunatly, there is not much advice I can give to remedy the problems brought on by ShopNBC and V2Premier other than to ask a friend who knows computers for help, but I can recommend HSN to consumers who are looking for a new desktop or laptop.

I don't have any association with HSN except as a satisfied customer. HSN sometimes include free lifetime tech support with their computers and of course they include 30 money back guarantee on all electronics sold. I can vouch for the return policy.

Wilson, have we become so used to being scammed that it is always the consumers fault. I understand that you are trying to help, but
Dorothy stated that she had trouble from DAY ONE!
Did you listen to ShopNBC's hour at a time hype
on this junk computer system? According to them,
NO PROBLEMS will ever occur, "it fixes itself"!!
Plus 30 day money back GUARANTEE. ALL BALONEY!!!

It took me at least 50 calls to cancel this
$2300 piece of junk!!! If it was not for this
site I would be having the same problem. ShopNBC
blaming Viscom, Viscom being unreachable. Is no
one to blame for this scam? They are both to blame, ShopNBC and Viscom!!! These companies
should both be put out of business!!!!!

Your problem is Windows Internet Explorer or a plugin.

I'm sorry to read that you were told to wipe out your hard drive four times. I have worked in the computer support field for over ten years and I am sure you definitely did not need to reinstall Windows every time.

I cannot tell tell you how to correct the inaccessible power supply button, but I can you that it is safe to leave your computer on all the time and if you need to reboot you can do control-alt-delete or press the reset button. Of course, you can always pull the power cord from the back of your computer.

You did not describe what program you were trying to run when you got the long message. I think you have a corrupted Windows Internet Explorer file (OS ver: 5_1_2600) because I am currently using IE 5.0. If you are getting several error messages while trying to run different programs then you have corrupted Windows OS (probably XP). As a friend who really knows computers to reload your Windows operating system. Once the OS is loaded then you have a clean system. If you load corrupted programs or viruses then you are at fault.

I would never buy a computer system from shopNBC. I highly recommend HSN.com (Home Shopping Network) for computers, electronics and other stuff. HSN has treated me with the best customer service. They have always credited my credit card after a couple of days upon receiving my returned merchandise.

Without knowing more about your computer software loaded and operating system, I can tell you that you cannot sue Shop NBC or V2Premier if the computer was in good working condition after you first received it. If the computer was infected with a virus or a corrupted program from the internet, then obviously the vendors are not at fault. Sorry, but that is the truth. Unless of course, the computer was crap out of the box.
