Incident
My family and I moved to Las Vegas the 1st of October and contacted this company looking for a furnished rental house. Andres Calvo emailed us back saying they had several properties. We arranged to look at one and met Bruce Peterson, another employee, at the property.

We decided to take it and Bruce Peterson told me we would need 10,733.25 to rent the house. I gave him $8,000 cash with the balance to be paid when we signed the lease. That event was postponed twice so Andres Calvo had me sign a reservation request, this was Friday, Oct. 14th.

Over the weekend we changed our minds, we wanted a bigger house, so first thing Monday morning I called, faxed and emailed our cancellation, less than 24 business hours later. They did not respond so the next day I consulted a $300 an hour attorney. He reviewed everything and assured me that we would win in court however it could take up to two years and cost 3 to 5 thousand dollars to litigate.

Wednesday, Oct. 19th, Bruce Peterson called to inform me that he could only give us half of our money back. I told him that was unacceptable so he kept ALL of our money and said \"sue me\". I had this attorney send Vacation Homes Unlimited a letter and so far I have not heard a word from either of them.

Damage Resulting
For us this was a substancial amount of money to lose. We had to use the money we had set aside for our son\'s college tuition to rent the house we are in now. The stress of making a life changing move to Las Vegas was bad enough without being ripped off for $8,000! I am a diabetic and have anxiety problems and this has been very detrimental to my health.
