On October 15, 2007, my husband and I sat in on a very long presentation about how great VIP Travel was and how much money on travel it would save us. We were told by signing up that we would receive 2 condo weeks a year plus a free 2 day 3 night fly away vacation. Well, you know the old saying, "if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is", that was the case. However, we had to find out the hard way. We purchased the Platnium Gold plan for $3,995. The very worse investment that we've every made. What a BIG mistake. When we called the members services to cash in on our free fly a way vacation we had to send in $100 for Activation fees. So we thought ok, were on our way to a nice free vacation. But then VIP Travel sent us another letter stating that we had to pay again, this time $99 per person for processing fees. Wait, that's not all. Then they told us that we had to pay an additional $460 for our free fly a way vacation. By this time I was really upset about the false advertising about the free incentive trip, so we went on ahead and tried to book our 2 condo weeks that we had purchased for $3,995. When I called the office to make the reservation, I was told that who ever told me that we would get the 2 condo weeks was mistaken. We had to pay an additional $1,500 + for our hotel stay not including airfare. I explained to the operator on the phone that we were told that if we purchased the plan that we were buying 2 condo weeks and deep discount hotel & air travel packages for future travels. This is not the case, what a RipOFF. My husband and I did not contact VIP Travel again and we did not send any more money. We lost over $4,000 in this mess.

Today, 10/19/08 I opened mail from VIP Travel asking to renew my membership for $110. That's not going to happen. Oh, by the way, when I asked the question, "then what did we pay the $3,995 for", I was told for membership fees and for hasle free, money saving, vactions. I found better savings on every other travel site then VIP Travel. We would had NEVER EVER spent $3,995 on membership and the promise of deep discount hotel travel vacations.
