E-mail sent to Victoria Tomas in the Cancellation Department of 7-11-11:
To Whom It May Concern:

On June 15, I received a call from Don Hudson stating he had 3 renters each using 20,000 of my RCI points. $1,393 per 1 bed, 1 bath  unit for golfers. He quoted me a cost for a lifetime membership in VPM as $1,399 or $699 for 1 year.

He told me how my membership in VPM would be about a week to set up and I would receive my check in the amount of $1,393 for each of the 3 rentals totaling $4,179.

With the membership, I would have no guest fees that the guest certificate would be waived.  I would receive 3 guest certificates to sign and return when I received my check via certified mail.  He was to notify me of the tracking number of the certified mail.

He transferred me to Larry Pointer in the Verification Department to be sure all of the information was correct. At the point of asking if the agent had told me he had renters, I said yes but that he, Don Hudson, never game me names. Don Hudson had told me to say "no" to that question.  Larry Pointer returned me to Don Hudson and I told him what happened and he said they couldnt process the rentals (not sure of the exact wording) until I was set up with VPM which sort of made sense.

So, I was transferred back to Larry Pointer and he said, Ok, Ill reset the recorder now. Then when it came time for me to say, no, I hesitated and through clinched jaws said yes.  I feel Larry Pointer knew all about the so called renters because during the verification process he quoted me $1393 for the amount of the membership which was actually what Don Hudson told me was what I would receive per unit.  He got a little testy when I corrected him and said $1399.

I tried to contact Don Hudson several times but never received a call back although he told me I was his employer, that he works for me now and that he would always return my calls in approximately 1 hour.

So, I am requesting a refund of my $1,399 and am cancelling the membership.  I was lied to, deceived and mislead and was told to lie for him, Don Hudson, in order for the deal to go through.

Please contact me as soon as possible regarding this matter."

Since this time, I have not been able to get call backs from Victoria Tomas, just a lot of excuses why she "can't" take my calls. Impossible to get any sort of satisfaction from this lousy company.

Please don't be fooled like I was.  Vacation Property Marketing is a total rip-off. If you receive a call from them ... Please Hang Up!! Thank you.

I did receive a check for the full amount.  I still believe VPM is a total scam and if I hadn't kept calling and also reporting them here on the Rip Off Report and contacting the Florida Atty General, I would not have received it.

If they have scammed you, don't let them get away with. When reporting them, give as many details as possible including the people you talked to, when and what was said.

Good Luck!

I was concerned about this being a fraud during initial contact by Don Hudson. He said to check the link on the website for the OBB. I did and it showed no complaints against VPM. Later, I contacted OBB and filed a complaint. It seemed legitimate as I received e-mails and all. I checked their home page and it still said they were a good company. I feel the OBB may not be legitimate either.

I have received an e-mail from Victoria Pagan saying I have been "honored by a full refund" stating the amount and check number. What happened to Victoria Tomas. The level of deceit is amazing.

I'll report back if I do receive a check. I seriously doubt it. I'll call her Monday and see what the time frame is supposed to be. Thank you for listening to me and also, never fall for their scheme.

I finally received a call from Victoria Tomas after filing this report and filing a complaint with the FL State Atty General's office. She stated since I admitted I lied on the recording per Don Hudson's instructions, it would look very bad for me. She then stated she would personally try to find the 3 renters I was originally promised back in June and she would e-mail me.

At this time, I am waiting to hear. I still highly recommend you don't do business with this company. It causes head aches and a shortage of funds, especially for those of us who are elderly and on a fixed income.
