We upgraded to the Grand Bliss in Mexico in February and traded two paid timeshares to Value Traders.  In March they asked for $350 each for a title research fee (which doesn't exist at either resort) which we paid in March.  It wasn't until the end of May that they asked for another $825 per timeshare which we paid.  Now we are out $1175 per timeshare to give them away.  After 6 months and no name change on our contracts, I reported them as frauds to our credit card company.  We found out just recently that one resort only charges $100 for a name change and the other $150 total fees.  Watch out for this company!

Value Traders fruads

We have a similar problem with value traders. When we made our purchase we were at Paradise Village we wanted to trade two timeshare properties (memberships) Diamond resorts. We were told time and time again One fee and only one for the transfer of both properties(memberships). We get back to the states and send them a power of attorney and membership transfer papers in Dec. They wait till the end of Jan and then start asking for more money. First $940.00 for the transfer then they want another $695.00 + another $940.00 for the other membership. They Lie and the whole thing is a scam to steal more money from America buyers. These people Value Traders use Gusa capital in Las Vegas as a front company for there fraudulent charges. We are getting a Attorney in the states. They claim they are a U.S company. When you call Paradise Village in the U.S. to complain they say we just handle the memberships and reservations. You have to deal with the sales department in Mexico.. They are rip offs. We have disputed all charges for this deal....

Our company's business is to buy and sell timeshares and to do so we execute a very specific, detailed contract to state what type of payment(s) are necessary and which party is responsible to cover these payments.

A property transfer usually takes between 6 and 8 months (depending on the resort being transferred) after all necessary documents and payments (to the resort and/or to us) are received.  In the case of the Gearhart's, all properties were transferred within the abovementioned timeframe.

We apologize if the Gearhart's feel that the 7 months that was taken to transfer the properties was a long time, but the amount of time taken to transfer the properties is related to the last payment they made and the administration time that their transferred resorts take to internally acknowledge and reflect the ownership change.

Despite the chargeback issued by the Gearhart's with their credit card company, we completed the property transfers within the normal timeframe.

We invite the Gearhart's to contact us directly if they have any additional questions or comments and we will be happy to answer them.
