In August of 1999 we received a fax at our business from Resorts Exchange International / Players Exchange, with regard to "Wonderful 8 Day/ 7 Night Vacations" at resorts all over the world for a incredible price. So we called. The package included three one week vacations to be taken within 3 years for $698.00. We called, purchased the vacation package over the phone with a credit card. We were billed on 8-20-99. We finally decided on a vacation date (July) and a destination to Maui. According to the information package we received we were to fill out a reservation form with date and destination and include a money order for $298.00 and send to the company. We sent it certified mail and it was signed for on Jan. 25, 2000. The instructions said a "Travel Consultant will call you within 10 days of receipt of your Reservation Request Form". We had conversed with several people from the company months, weeks, and even the day before we sent the deposit. We waited 15 days and when there was no reply, we started calling. All the numbers were no longer in service except one. It was an answering machine informing us that they should have their audio back up and running by the 14th of February and please leave a message, they would return our call. That went on for days. No calls!!! We again called and the message had changed. Now we could press 1 and leave voice mail (which was not possible, because it was full) or press 2 to speak to a service representative, who of course the recording said were all busy with customers, and to leave, you guessed it, another message! We did that for 3 days. Then we sent a letter of complaint, again certified. It was received on Feb. 22, 2000. We did call a business (Hotel Discounts) in the information packet and a woman said she had had numerous calls inquiring about Players Exchange. They told her they were moving in January and would be disorganized for a couple of weeks. Our trip is scheduled for July and we can't wait much longer to make plans, so now we must start over, and we are out $1000.00!! Please Help Me Get My Money Back!!!!
