Complaint Review: VacationWeeks

Went to Playa Del Sol, in Baja, met a guy named Cesar, bought 'fractional ownership' from Playa Del Sol, was told to call Larry at Vacation Weeks (vacationweeks.com) and my 2br "Grand Weeks" will rent for $2400/month.

I hadn't done my homework and looked around, was excited to rent out my weeks, and gave larry $400 for 'lifetime' membership. After calling around I realized these guys just advertise, they don't actually try to rent units out and in fact almost never do.

I requested a refund verbally, was told it was being processed, called back to confirm they said they had no record of that, that i need to fax in the information, i faxed in my information within the 21 days, (3 weeks ago now), every time i call "accounting" is out to lunch or busy or it's 2-3 weeks out before they issue me my refund.

They refused to refund my money immediately last time I called (5/21/07) so I'm going to ask my credit card company to refund the money and that should be it.

These people are so pitiful, what a lame way to make money, give people the run around and piss everyone off while getting a horrible reputation.
