contacted this co and he was supposed to install sidewalk and arbor- this was to be level and like the one at the nursery. It was a joke all the way - took all summer to do this job and still not done. we told him to stop doing the job as it was not right.

My husband and I are both handicap and cannot walk on this walk. Its lg stone (stepping)and its up and down nothing level- the arbor is not what we ordered - we got a $150.arbor and had to pay $900. -- the walk is around $3000.it was never finished and valkner took us to court for the money and the judge in LaSalle County (ottawa,Ill) doesnt like my husband and ruled against us.

So what I told him I was not going to pay for I have to pay as it is now a court order. Valkner said in court we told him not to put the walk down and he said if he didnt he wouldnt get paid. We told him not to install the arbor and we had to go away and when we came home he had installed it.

This man overcharged us and the work never was completed. I was in a very bad accident and have a wheelchair and he knew ahead of time I wanted it level so if I had to use the chair again it would be ok.The judge said it contured to the land not taking into account what we said or showed him. Please Help

You do not state whether or not you had an attorney with you.

Was the court case in Small Claims Court?

From what you wrote it sounds like it was in Small Claims Court. At the juncture your best bet is to contact an Attorney and discuss the situation with him. You maybe able to appeal the decision.
