Complaint Review: Valley Smog & Auto Repair

 We Originally took my vehicle for a leaking water reservoir with a estimate of $573.71 and Prior to service not running hot - just losing water.. - Owner claims additional mandatory work needed to be completed - Block Test Pass Replaced fan shroud, coolant hose clamp thermostat coolant reservoir - Owner Bob said he took it for a test drive and is fine - Upon picking up the car the cost was overinflated to $748.55 plus an initial $90.00 Diagnosis Fee which was never applied to work performed on car. In addition to requesting Old parts & complete work history - never received. Told to take bus to pick up car with only a 1 hour notice before closing, on 3/28 after keeping it for several days - Got bum rushed to make payment of $748. 58, but argued them down 108.45, to $640.33 & hurried out door. ( Ari " I want to go home ") On way home Land Rover was boiling oil inside engine block& NO WATER inside block with empty reservoir within 15 minutes of driving it. In Giving them the benefit of doubt, we filled with water Sat ( 3/29 ) took it on a 20 minute drive & occurred again exactly the same like on 3/28. We have attempted to resolve issue on Monday 3/31 with owner Bob Doremus who claims Valley Smog & Auto test drove and is running perfectly fine, and said they have done nothing wrong But the car owners broke it - You can bring it back in won't charge you to look at it - but will have to charge you for any additional repairs & tests - Double Dipping - Wells Fargo will not charge back account unless I pay a certified mechanic additional money to verify that it was not repaired. This company has a habitual habit of reproach to cover for shoddy work - Have documented proof They are Sabotaging vehicles to assure return business - and they take full advantage of seniors on Social Security robbing them blind by not honoring Warranty on work done - Did Not even say they were sorry, instead BoB, owner insisted that the car was test driven and in good condition. Witness Statement: My wife was home when I arrive 20 minutes after car pick-up and witnessed the water boiling, the oil gurgling and the motor steaming which it had not done a week before the repairs. The fallowing day we took the car on a trip to the store as a test run about a 20 minute drive. Before leaving we filled the reservoir up. On the way back it again overheated. Steaming out from the hood. Water boiling Valley Smog & Auto is willfully and with wanton disregard - ruining customers cars to guarantee they receive return business & gauging Diagnosis charge as you walk in the door..
