Valley Yellow Pages deceives customers by quoting them a price but not telling them it's a monthly cost. They make NO effort to stay in contact with the customer and keep them updated on there advertisement. The only time you'll hear from them is after the Yellow Pages book is shipped and you get the invoice.

The worst part is they printed the wrong phone number, didn't get approval for printing the design of the ad including the wrong phone number, and still expect 100% payment.

The company who placed the ad has quit and filed bankruptcy and now that Valley Yellow Pages can't collect from the company, they are coming after one of the employees that worked part time for the company and was responsible for setting up advertising. They have even sent it to collections against the employee of the former company.

They went as far as to say that them printing the wrong phone number was the fault of the customer.

If you work for a company that advertises in Valley Yellow Pages, I suggest you tell your employer there tactics of coming after employees if the company does not pay the bill for whatever reason.

Hi,

I have a similar situation where the representative quoted me an annual figure and yellow pages billed me that amount as a monthly figure.  Could you please contact me?  Thanks,

Sharma

Finally received copies of the contract one year later. I never received these copies when first signing up. They were suppose to be mailed right away.

The contract shows forged signatures for approval of printing the ad. It shows the date of the forged signatures of 11-26-2002 and the rough draft of the ad dated 11-27-2002. It's saying that I signed for something that was written down a day earlier than it was even created. Huh?

It shows also that the salesperson put the company phone number in the residence phone number and vice versa. This job was botched from the very first day and Valley Yellow Pages is refusing to accept any responsibility.
