Complaint Review: VALUE BRAKES

I took my Honda in for brake service when I heard about the $99 special and my brakes were squeaking slightly. After they got it on jack, he explained to me that I was in need of $600 worth of work. I needed new pads, calipers remade, rotors replaced. The rotors did not look bad and I had doubts that the calipers were sticking. I did not see any heat wear on the rotors or pads. After thinking about it I told him to stop the job and i was going to get a second opinion. He had not started. He began to be furious saying he could do the job in 45 minutes and that the car was on the jack and that the parts were there. I said I wanted a second opion on the sticking calipers... I began to see that he was worried. I assured him that if he was right I would bring it back but he began to get agitated. I insisted and then began to lower the price. That is when I knew the service was not honest.

I took my car to another service station who told me I did not need any of that done but did need new pads and the rotors smoothed out for $310. Value brakes is known for this..

Dont get yourself ripped off... go somewhere else..
