On 2/21/03 I ordered a bed frame and mattress set from Value City Furniture. We went through two sales people who checked inventory, two clerks who wrote up the order and checked inventory, and a manager who checked inventory for a delivery date. The date was set for 2/26/03.

When we checked back on 2/26 we were told it would be two more weeks. Two weeks later we were told it would be 3/28 before it would come in. When I went into the store to check on the situation we were greeted very coldly. No salesperson would touch us.

When we went to the manager (who was on duty the night of the 21st) we were told that the "oops" sticker was overlooked on our merchandise. The merchandise would not be available for shipment until 3/28/03 and we may get our bed by the first or second week of April.

When I protested she said that they would give us a "loaner" bed since we had already gotten rid of the one we had. She also said the would give us free delivery and set-up for our trouble. She must of thought we were stupid because this was already free.

After turning away from complaining the same people who had checked the delivery date stood there and openly laughed at myself and my husband. To this date we have still not recieved our bed.

If it wasn't for the fact that this is the only place that extended us credit for our purchase I would cancel the order. How do people like this do business and get away with treating their customers like this.
