Complaint Review: Value City

Value City not standing behind two year old couch claiming "normal wear" Hanover Park Illinois

Value City has been jerking me around for the past 7 months. I purchased a family room couch, sofa and loveseat from them and within 1 year the entire inside of the couch fell in. They came out to fix the couch but it hasn't been right since. They refuse to stand behind their product and fix it correctly. Now they say I'm out of the warranty period so they are refusing to fix it. The couch is only less than two years old and they are claiming it's "normal wear and tear" for the couch. Does that mean that every two years we are expected to purchase a new couch because they only last for two years? According to Value City it does. I have an open case with the Better Business Bureau and we keep going back and forth now for the past 7 months with no end in sight. All I can say is DO NOT BUY FROM VALUE CITY - THEY DON'T BACK THEIR PRODUCT. I am going to continue to post about this store until they fix the couch or go out of business. I also plan to leaflet customers going in to discourage them from buying from this store and inform them what they have done in my case.
DO NOT SUPPORT VALUE CITY.

Yep. The frame on your couch is not made of solid wood. VC sells junk. A good couch would cost about $2000. I'll guess you paid less than half that for yours.
