Complaint Review: Van Ru Credit Corporation

On 4/10/02 I received a message on my answering machine, from Paul, stating he was needing to contact the person at 6108 Willowridge Dr. because he had a driver in the area with a package to deliver and was unable to fine the address. I live at 6109 Willowridge Dr and re requested I contact the person at 6108 and have them call him at 18004082678. The message was somewhat confusing so I called to verify what he wanted and it turns out this was a collection agency, he did not have a driver in the area and this was an attempt of getting me to help him get in touch with the person.

When I started questioning him as to why he was bothering me with this matter he became very rude and refused to let me speak to his supervisor and hung up. I called back and asked the operator for his supervisor and spoke to Philip Lambiez, who was equally as rude, said he did not see anything wrong with Paul's methods and refused to let me speak to his supervisor.

Once again I called back, asked the operator for Philip's supervisor and got Keenan Herring. In speaking to him he seemed to agree that company policy was to use any means to contact a client and could not understand why I would be upset. I asked to speak to his supervisor or someone who makes policy and he refused, saying persons in that position and higher did not speak to people and I was wasting my time pursuing this matter. My problem is the methods they are using to find people with credit problems and the rude was I was treated.

This is a perfect example for the reason collection agencies and personnel are held in such low regard.
