Vanderbilt Mortgage/Clayton Homes Another HORRIBLE experience to share... Vanderbilt Mortgaage And Finance Tennessee Nationwide
Well it all started in 2000 when Staci went to the lot and while looking around she mentioned she OWNED her 1 acre of land so she was ONLY interested in a home. She was 19 years old had NO job/income and absolutely "0" credit. The guy at the lot convinced her to fill out a credit app on a single wide so she did.
The NEXT day he calls her and tells her if she'll go along with everything she can get approve.. Everything was the fact that the salesman made up PHONY business cards, paycheck stubs, and rental records, now all she had to do was sign on the dotted line and the home was hers. Regretfully she DID... Among them was a "Land in Lew" contract and when Staci said she wouldn't do it, the salesman told her that it goes away after 2 years payment, she agreed. The home was delivered and set up a week later but immediately the first problem began...
We noticed right away that the trailer they set up had HAIL damage literally every 3 inches and that the roof looked like waves in the ocean. The back door was apparently nearly torn off at some point because it was held on with just 1 of the 3 hinges as the top and bottom ones were ripped away. The tile in the kitchen was torn in several places and under the kitchen sink it looked like it had had a leak for some time and was rotted and mildew. And to top things off, the mover had back the home into a tree and shoved the corner in about 6". There were NO light fixtures, toilet lids or seats, Etc....
I'll continue on another page due to length...
