After making regular monthly payments on our mortgage, for the past three years, we expected our rates to come down to a 'normal'level. But they still want us to pay 11.5% on it. We even put down $6,500, at a purchase price of $48,000. and 3 years later, we still owe $38,000. We have had the house for sale now for two years, by owner, and they will not help us sell it as they promised us when we first purchased it. We cannot sell it through a regular Real- Estate company as it's not on permanent foundation. And we cannot get it re-financed through any kind of nation wide or local, mortgage company.

When my husband called customer service last week, they put him in touch with the financial dpt rep's, who gave him the run around for an hour, and were so rude to him. One lady told him that we would never sell our house for profit, even for what we still owed them on it. Another guy told him, quote, "I don't care what happens to you or your house. Just send us the money, or we'll come and pick it up tomorrow". unquote. He even laughed at my husband's southern accent, when my husband used the word, "Y'all", in a sentance. Telling him, quote, "We're on the East-coast, and you're in the Rocky Mountains and they don't talk like that". Unquote.

We are struggling financially like others we have read about. My husband works so hard as an underpaid electrician, and I stay at home with our Pre-schooler. I am from England and we are desperatly trying to sell our house to get back there. I even had to miss my Father's funeral in July 2004, and I want to go home before I miss someone elses.

From desparing.
