My brother, Willie, has a mortgage with Vanderbilt Mortgage & Finance Inc. He was diagnosed with cancer in April. He went into the hospital and was in for a while. He did not pay May or June mortgage payment. He was able to talk on the phone to let them know that I (Nethia) his sister would be contacting them to handle his business.

When I called the first time on June 17, 2005, to make the May payment there was no problem. At that time I informed them that I would call the next friday, June 24, 2005 to make the June payment. When I called back at that time I was told that they would not be able to give me any information on the account without Willie written consent.

A letter was written up on Wednesday June 29, 2005 and signed by Willie, the owenr on the account, giving me permission to handle his account and make payments to the account. When I called back Courtney Turner was very rude and nasty. In fact she hung up on me while I was in the middle of asking questions about the account. I called right back and she informed me that she did not have to give me any information.

I don't understand where that was coming from since she is the one that told me to have my brother write up a permission slip and sign it giving me authorization on the account. After she hung up on me I called her back to let her know that I am looking for information and she said she don't have to give me nothing.

IN fact she did care if he lost his property or not. I ask to speak with her boss and she turned me over to someone that called themselve Nakia Martin, which was no help at all. I then got on the internet to see if I could look up the company president to write him a letter. But to my surprise I found this site listed and also a site that listed jobs for Vanderbilt.

The add read looking for people with great work ethics. Now I see and understand because the some of the people their dont have ethics at all. If you are in customer service then you should know how to talk to people. I will not stop writing this company and the media in that area until I get a formal apology from Courtney.

They are going to get theirs sooner or later. Please contact your department now.
