have been bullied over the telephone, as well as other family members. I have had to contact the Manufacturing Board of South Carolina, Better Business, State Board of Financial Institutions, Consumer Finance Division,
Columbia, South Carolina. Vanderbilt has screwed up my credit history and falsely and am still working to correct this. Vanderbilt has increase monthly payments, then had the nerve to telephone me asking for it,
even though I was never notified of this increase. Only after writing again to the State Board did they finally mail me a letter. I have found out in, Myrtle Beach, SC., that a reporter for the Sun News had written an artile on "Vanderbilt"and that also over a 100 residents of Horry County in South Carolina, had filed lawsuits against Vanderbilt. My home is a 28x70, supposedly it was brand new, set-up people for LUV, part of Clayton Homes, broke the water pipes into the mobile home park
where my home is set-up/boards have come up in the den under the carpet. It is going into its 2nd year of hell having Vanderbilt has the Mortgage Company-why this firm has not been investigated to the fullest extend. Each
State should have the Manufacturing Board been In Charge of overseeing all purchases of mobile home, mortgages, set-up, complaines, etc. I never knew until getting a computer and finding this website that I was not the only one with such Terrible stories on Vanderbilt. I do not own the land, which my home is on, but did put a downpayment of $28,000.00, From Moms inheritance, that is the only way I would have afforded this, but now am so sorry that I did. Please help me find a Very good Attorney for me and others.
