In August of 2015 I was interested in getting a personal trainer from VASA. I went in their 1259 S 800 E, Orem, UT 84097 location and spoke with Brian and Saia. Brian was very busy with other members so I spent most of my time speaking with Saia. At one point Brian was able to pull away, and I signed up for sessions through one of Brian's other trainers.

For the next 2 weeks, I would call and come in trying to get a hold of the trainer and at least have him call me back. I was continually told he was not in and would call me soon. The trainer never called.

This left me with no confidence that I would get the training I signed up for and if I did, it would be with a very reluctant trainer . I went back to the same location, explained what was happening and asked to cancel. The girl at the front desk took me to a computer, asked my information and assured me I would not be charged. Her exact words were "I'll make sure you don't get charged"

Since then, I have started receiving phone calls from collectors saying I had a past due account. When I asked at the front desk at VASA, I was told there is nothing wrong with my account. They recomend I call their corporate office. When I call the corporate, I cant get in touch with a live person.

In December of 2015, I got someone from VASA to email me who brushed off the fact that I was being charged and said they would give my information to the Personal Trainers so they could call me. (I was beyond that at this point) One of their trainers called in about a week later. This would make it 4 months from the time I signed up until the time a trainer called me. Four months where they continued to bill my credit card without doing a thing to earn it.

Now there is a new collection company that is saying I owe VASA over $700 and they are getting ready to go to litigation. Everyone I talk to about this tells me the contract states I am to cancel in writting. They fail to realize that a contract works both ways and they failed to uphold their end. Yet somehow, they still feel entitled to take my money.

VASA could have easily fixed this problem at any time in the last 5 months. I made many attemps to contact them about this long before now. It would not have been that hard to say, "I'm sorry, lets cancel this". Instead they have continued to demand I uphold my end of the bargain without them upholding theirs.
