Veiled Traditions dishonest owner, horrible customer service RIPOFF Ottumwa Iowa
After ordering a wedding dress- special order, and being told it would be in April 14, it finally came in April 30. We were not informed of the delay, and when we called once a week to check in, the owner told us to stop "harassing" her and she would let us know when it came in. Then, after driving 30 miles to pick up the dress, she proceeded to try and demand "payment in full", since her books did not show we had already paid. After showing her the receipt, she still insisted we had already paid a deposit, despite her initials on the receipt.
Finally, she brought the dress out and tried to send us on our way without seeing it, let alone trying it on.
I have never witnessed such awful customer service. She told the bride that she was lucky to have received it at all, since it was only two months before the wedding, and then reminded her not to call and check on the tuxedo order, that she would be in touch. DO NOT buy or rent anything here unless you want to be treated horribly.

The owner of this store was very nice to me and my now husband. We decised to get married at like last minute last year and we told her that we only had X amount of dollars and told her how we planed on getting married that weekend. We planed our wedding in 1 week and only did it with a $1000.00. and she said give me a sec and she walked over to the dresses and asked what i was lookin for in a dress. and what my size was. i had no clue what my dress size was (i'm a complete tomboy and more into jeans and shirts) so she took the measurements. We told her what we wanted and she pulled out a beutiful dress and said why don't you go try this on. it fit like a glove and was exactly what we wanted besides the color and i'm only 5'2 and it needed to be shortened alot and dyed. and she said she would have it done by the time we wanted it.
anyhow we showed up that friday and the dress was done she asked me to try it on again just to make sure that it was correct length because it was now the right color. and it was. we paid her 250 for it and went out and got married the next day. i give this woman props and would suggest her to anyone because she was very nice and helpful we got married in sept. and it was like a wedding boom that month. because she had alot of dresses hangin up that needed to be worked on and she finished mine up in 5 days.
once again i give her a great reveiw. sorry that you didn't have this experence.
