I went on vacations to Mexico and the day I got there we received an invitation for a "free breakfast", that person offered us transportation and some gifts, we were so tired that we accepted. When we got to the resort, after the breakfast we were introduced to a sales representative. He showed us some information about an "Investment". He offered us many "good things" at that time and we thought it could be a good investment, also we think we could afford it. We signed the papers, and went back to our resort. We had the time to read the contract and we discovered many things they sold us and we did not see in the contract, they were using MISLEADING INFORMATION and no ethical SALES PRACTICES, and we decided to cancel it. We were in our last day of the cool-off period, I sent my cancellation via e-mail with a copy to PROFECO, but the people from Velas Vallarta did not accept it, they are refusing the cancelation because they say I was beyond my 5 days period to cancel, they think being a tourist we dont know the mexican laws. They are trying to stall me, they abused my innocence and many others before me, I hope for the ones who had read this information, please never accept to go to any "Investment Presentation" or any "Free Breakfast" with Velas Vallarta, that will become in the worst nightmare.

I have written documentation and yet they refuse to accept my request. If anyone has a good advise to share I will appreciate it.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ... I found these articles that speak precisely about this, you should read them, that might help you to resolve many doubts:

This is an update for the comment made against Velas Vallarta, I would like to clarify that Velas Vallarta searched all the possible ways until they got a satisfactory resolution for both parties. Ask for Monica, she will help you as she did with me. Great customer service.
