The Velas Vallarta is run by some of the most slippery of slime that I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. I first bought in to this timeshare, the second for me, in October 2006. My only intention was for investment purposes. Their extra long overly aggressive sales presentation is mostly geared toward the rental industry, which they d**n well know doesn't exist, and doing everything they can to convince you this is the path you want to go down. What a bunch of BS. They should only sell their timeshares for personal use. Of course, if they did that they'd go broke. In the 5 1/2 years I've owned this, not one week has rented. I want my money back from these people. It seems the only way to get their attention is to spam the web about them and spread awareness of their fraudulent business practice. That's why I started a blog devoted to them. Travelers and vacationers need to be aware when walking through the airport or around in downtown PV to not even engage in conversation with any Velas rep. It's all a scam. Please do not schedule a vacation with any Velas Resort. They're very dishonest. And your end contract is never what you discussed. My story and the testimony of others can be found on the VelasResortsScam blog.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ... I found these articles that speak precisely about this, you should read them, that might help you to resolve many doubts:

Many clients have received calls from Sierra about a year after their purchase stating that they have a buyer for their Velas Vallarta property. They are told that they just need to pay for the title search and taxes into an escrow account and then they money from the buyer will be released to the seller. The seller wires the money to the escrow company, and then never hears from them again.
