That the parts for the machines ARE NOT manufactured in China. You are saying that the parts are manufactured in the U.S.?

You are going on record and telling everyone that you DO NOT know in advance, that in almost every instance, the locators you refer them to are NOT going to properly locate their machines like you are telling them. RIGHT?? That you DON'T know in advance that some or all of their machines may be stolen or dumped, RIGHT??



You are going on record by saying that YOU DON'T withhold the fact that only a tiny percentage of people who get involved in vending are successful, RIGHT??



Who I am, or where I MIGHT have worked in the past does not change the fact

that each day, you cheat people out of their hard earned money, and in many instances, ruin their lives.

This is the original author of this post, and I'm amused by the robust response.



However, I think it's too easy to be swept away by emotions and screaming and name calling. Like Joe Friday in Dragnet, just the facts, ma'am:



- No one to my knowledge has every been happy with the service of Specialty Marketing.

- They routinely violate FTC law by guaranteeing vending profits

- They hire dubious, transient, oftentimes drug addicted locators that employ unsavory and oftentimes criminal tactics to place machines.

- They do no research into the credibility or background of such locators

- When a locator screws up the job they are in no rush to make it good



I really don't hear any substantial responses to these underlying questions, just personal attacks. Why can't Multivend or Specialty Marketing get to the root of the issue and actually address these underlying complaints?



It's a moot point because in light of this class action lawsuit, they have to account for what they have done and are doing. The curtain has been lifted. They finally have to crawl underneath the rock and answer some tough questions in a court of law that will not accept the non-responses they've spewed on here. Ya play, you gotta pay Julie, Jennifer, Melandie and company :-)



Finding locations isn't that difficult. You walk into a place of business and tell them that your working with such and such charity, that your looking for a small space to put a little gumball machine - as you show them a picture of the machine - and ask if they would be so kind as to provide a small space over "there" as you point to a place for the machine.



How hard is that?????? Why does anyone on here use a locating company, much less Specialty Marketing, to put a machine in. That's why I don't sympathize with everyone that feels victimized. It's very easy to place a machine, and there is NO SUCH THING as get-rich-quick with no work!!



So, if you bought into this pie in the sky, get rich quick, don't work just collect the money scam, it's part multivends fault, part Specialty Marketing's fault, and part YOUR FAULT.

what would you like me to refute? that you were a salesman that lost your job because you were terrible at what you did? you see its real easy when your brother gives you a job and you rode his coattail for months. oh about closing, a real salesman closes on his own big shot, somthing that you werent able to do when you worked their. the truth hurts doesnt it, be careful to who you assume i am. by the way i do have a real job.

Finally about closing. It's pretty easy to close someone if you or a locator flat out lies to them

WHO ARE YOU? Jennifer Buffington does have a sister in law Melanie, but I am her best friend from Atlanta! You need to get your facts straight! Jennifer and I have been friends for over 8 years. I have watched her raise her children and get married. Her sister in law works in sales, not associated with vending. Where do you get your information from? Why are you so far out there with no proof. Her family hasn't been in the vending business for quite awhile. No one but Jennifer is in vending. I hope you do not plan on making a fool out of yourself in that courtroom. I almost feel sorry for you. Your sense of reality is out there. What one assumes and what the truth is are two different things. I hope you plan on showing hard core proof that any Putnam works for Jennifer. Her mother Carol worked for her from February 2007 to May 2007. Carol told the FTC all of this, ask your buddy. They have known all along. Sid Putnam is semi-retired, Carol does Mary Kay part-time, Chris is a stay at home Dad and Melanie works for a company, not any way involved with vending. Also, her husband, Brad owns his own company locally. Please do not make assumptions without proof. Not to mention that I was not writing to you in any of these emails. SPECIALTY MARKETING (Employee) MELANIE

: NED WEAVER (VENDSTAR-MULTIVEND)



Since my investigation has revealed (Plus the word of reliable informants who you know quite well) that there has only been one employee named with the first name of Melanie to ever work for SPECIALTY MARKETING. That means you are the wife of Chris Putnam, the past owner of CORNERSTONE MARKETING. This also means that you are the sister-in-law of Jennifer Kathryn Putnam Buffington the current President of SPECIALTY MARKETING.



You have now freely admitted to the entire world, that you were an employee of SPECIALTY MARKETING. Hopefully this will afford you the opportunity to once again meet with Harold Kirtz(Attorney representing the Federal Trade Commission) and also Jennifer's Attorney in Atlanta, Michael Rosenthal once again.



You state that SPECIALTY MARKETING has either refunded or warranted a total of $90,000.00, as of September 26, 2007 the total was only $87,000.00. This is a lot of money for a company to warrant, which has only been in business for a little over a year. With an annual Gross Income of between $1,500,000.00 and $2,000,000.00, I guess this is possible, one can only assume that Jennifer Buffington has the records required by the Internal Revenue Service to verify these claims. I do know for sure, that I am not one of these the people (of which there a many) victimized by Jennifer Buffington and SPECIALTY MARKETING who received a refund or any type of warranty consideration.



On September 13, 2007, report #274417 was posted by me claiming deception, fraud and unethical practices used by(SPECIALTY MARKETING) to sell vending machines purchased from MultivendVendStar(President- Ned Weaver,Vice-President-Joe Spinilli?,Customer Service Representative Larry Kaplan) At approximately 3:30 pm, the day of this posting , Ned Weaver contacted me regarding this report. We talked at length about this report and the practices of SPECIALTY MARKETING and what this company has done to the reputation of VendStar. Mr. Weaver in no uncertain terms advised me that he was not aware of the fraudulent practices of Jennifer Buffington, her company, employee's or field representatives. Mr. Weaver decided for the sake of his reputation personally and the reputation his company that he should do something on my behalf. I signed a settlement agreement with Ned Weaver and Vendstar, which he felt was the right thing for VendStar to do in the sake of CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. I am not allowed because of legal issues to disclose the amount of or the terms of the agreement. This can only be done by the order of the court. I will have this agreement in my possession on November 30th for my court appearance before Judge Simmons in Beaufort County, SC, just in case the Judge orders the need to see this document.



The second week of October, Mr. Weaver contacted me and advised me that due to the information that he had received not only from me, but countless others in reference to the unethical business practices of Jennifer Buffington, and some of her family members. On behalf of Ned Weaver and VendStar wanting all to know that there reputation in the vending business was important to him and his company. I voluntarily posted a report on October 17, addressing this issue as per my telephone conversation with Mr. Weaver.



Mr. Weaver advised me that Vendstar would no longer be recommending in the future( Jennifer Buffington, SPECIALTY MARKETING, or any of the Putnam family members) to represent his company(VendStar) in any capacity in the future, that had been involved in the vending business .

Melanie, you are absolutely correct. Thru the Court in the STATE OF ARIZONA, it is possible to find out who has posted on this web site any information that is nothing but lies and cannot be verified with documents to prove what has been stated. Prior to my pending counter lawsuit filed against your sister-in-law, I will follow the (DENDRITE GUIDELINES) and (Code A.R. S. 12-2214) to obtain this information. This will definitely be handled by me pro se'. This will be handled by my Attorney if you would like her name, ask Jennifer.

This pawn of Specialty Marketing reduces to personal attacks without addressing the underlying issues in this complaint.



- Do drug addicts locate machines? Is there any screening of rift rafts that locate machines?

- Does Specialty Marketing breach FTC laws by promising a certain number of vends per day or other time period?

- Are the warranties honored in a timely fashion, and is it easy and hassle-free for a customer to excercise these warranties?



I didn't hear any response.... it was a non-response.

Why do these produce negative results? Does anyone have anything GOOD to say about them?

I spoke with Jennifer, the owner that delegates all day-to-day activities to Julie. I was a co-conspirator in all of this, so I know the game and moved into a more reputable business.



Have these agents of this scam address the issues instead of calling names.



Or, answer them on the stand :-)

The person that wrote this is an absolute liar and has no idea the inner workings of either VendStar or Specialty. The owner of Specialty is Jennifer, not Julie. Also, call and ask to speak with Ned Weaver, I have, in regards to problems with work. This makes you an ignorant person with nothing better to do than lie. Call Specialty Marketing and ask them to send you a list of the clients they have either refunded or warranted in one year. That totals up to $90,000.00, if Specialty is such a bad firm and are only out to get the consumer then why would they refund or warrant anyone? Why wouldn't they simply say no everytime? Please have the facts straight before posting lies on this site. I highly doubt that you would warrant anyone that much money in one year. Since I have worked with Specialty in the past, I really know the inner workings and you are dead wrong. Be careful on how people post to this site. The owner of Specialty happens to have a close friend who knows exactly how to find the computer this posting came from and when she reads this, she will very quietly sit back and find this person. Jennifer will then expose them for who they are, LIARS!
