I was signed up for a wireless credit card machine with ,a woman representing Vericomm, name Karen Covington. She offered my co-workers and I this deal for $31 a month for credit machine leasing.

I took the offer and she got the paper work ready when I was working on a client (I'm a hair stylist). She had me sign a contract and I received my machine a week later. When I got my bill it was $112! WHAT!!

I called her and she said she got thing mixed up. She came to my salon and delivered $69 in cash and had me sign a NEW contract for $31 and that was suppose to take care of it.

Well it didn't. I have messages saved on my phone of Karen saying she was going to work my problem till the end. And Now I have been billed 4 times for $112
Karen will NOT return my calls and is now ignoring me. The staff at Vericomm customer service weren't helpful at all. They said in so many words that I was just out of luck!

You were a victim of a bait and switch by the sales rep. What she offered was not possible for the type of equipment you received. Furthermore you signed a lease that cannot be cancelled and when you took delivery of the equipment your rep was paid $1500.00 the next day.

Even though she told you that she messed things up and had you sign a new contract I guarantee that she just tore it up because the leasing company does not change contacts in mid stream.

If I were in your shoes I would start writing letters to JP Morgan Chase in New York (they are the bank that backs all of verricom's transactions through Visa/MC), the leasing company, your atty general, and Verricomm. Find out the head persons name on their website. Tell them that you were lied to and that your rep had you sign another contract after the fact. Tell them that you recorded your phone conversations with the rep also.

Make sure that you CC all of these people on the letter so that they know you have sent them to everyone. This type of negative publisity should help you het some action from Verricom because they do not want any problems with JP Morgan!! Hopfully JP Morgan will call them on the carpet as this type of business really pisses banks off! I would even list all of the negative postings on this site in the letter!

Keep writing the letters and calling everyone! Good luck!
