Since using Verizon for as my internet provider I have experienced COUNTLESS issues with billing (charging cards that were no longer in the system), customer service (having to talk to 5 people just to find out the total and payment date of a bill), but recently got hit with something that was just outright RIDICULOUS!

My Boyfriend and I only use Verizon for our internet, therefore we have Verizon routers. Sometime in May, our router stopped working. We checked the computer, the internet connection and came to the conclusion that it was just a faulty router, so we contacted Verizon. They sent us a new router, and we were then instructed to package the old one up in box and packaging provided, and ship it to them.

My boyfriend went to our local UPS store, and while getting the package ready, was WARNED by the women working there to keep track of all shipping information reguarding this package, apparently there was a situation where a man went there attempting to return hardware to Verizon and they then claimed that they never received it and tried to charge him for it. She said it was a long and hard process for him to get the charges dropped, so it would be best to keep all information reguarding the package. So they shipped the package, and gave him tracking numbers to keep track of it.

Over a month later, we receive our Verizon bill in the mail. It had our regular monthly charge PLUS over a hundred dollars extra for ' Unreturned Equipment'. Guess the woman at the UPS store wasn't kidding.

We contacted Verizon, told them the issue, and after talking to multiple people were told " Verizon Fios has to take care of this issue, it does not reguard us, we will contact them, and you will recieve a call within the week."

We waited a few days, nothing. Then out of nowhere my boyfriend gets a call with a message saying that we have an outstanding bill, and our services will be 'interrupted' if we do not pay immediately ( meanwhile we have already paid our standard monthly bill at this point).  So once again, well contact Verizon, talk to 9 different people, and then get directed to someone who keeps connecting the call to numbers that don't exist! After about 20 mins. of that debacle, we get connected to a guy who we tell the situation to. He asks us when we shipped out the package, we tell him the date, he quickly says "ok, you're fine." my boyfriend asks " You sure this is going to be taken off of our bill, and our service won't be shut off?" " yep, you're good."  and that was it. I find it VERY suspicious that after talking to multiple people, who "had no record of EVER getting the package", we can talk to ONE guy, just give him the date of when we sent it and everything is peachy?  I truly, honestly think that Verizon has a little scheme to automatically charge people 'for unreturned equip.' just assuming the average person is dumb and doesn't keep records of such things.

*ALWAYS KEEP TRACK OF ALL SHIPPING INFO WHEN SENDING BACK EQUIP TO VERIZON, THEY CAN AND WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!!*
